Simone Linn, MC

Lethbridge, AB

I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a trained trauma-informed and EMDR therapist specializing in working with youths, adolescents, adults and couples. I am a compassionate and authentic individual that offers unconditional positive regards and genuine empathy. As a therapist, I am very person-centered and uses integrate techniques and strategies from the Advanced Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Gottman Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy Model, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness to best support clients' personal needs.

I believe change and growth occurs constantly throughout our life span. Consequently, I work with clients to recognize positive gradual changes, build resilience, and explore their inner strengths. I strive to provide clients with a trusting, caring, understanding and a supportive environment, which allows clients to explore their healing journey.

I have extensive experience with working with a diverse population including immigrants, and individuals of the LGBTQ+ population. My areas of specialization include intergenerational trauma, sexual trauma, single incident trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, and compulsive behaviors.

I believe strongly in the importance of fit between a counsellor and client being that counselling is a collaborative process that is tailored to meet individuals needs. As such, I work closely with clients to ensure they feel heard and supported to accomplish their goals of therapy.
